concreteCalc calculates flexure, shear or shear + torsion in a rectangular concrete section according to Eurocode 2.

General:
The app designs according to Eurcode 2: design of concrete structures - Part 1-1: General rules and rules for buildings.
Steel B220, B400, B450 or B500 can be selected.
Concrete C20/25 to C 40/45 can be selected.

Flexure:
The app calculates the longitudinal reinforcement which is required. Width, effective height and bending moment can be entered.

Shear:
The app calculates the required shear reinforcement (stirrups). Width, effective height and the shear force can be entered. The reinforcement is calculated with cot theta = 2.5, unless the concrete struts do n0t satisfy. In that case, cot theta will be adapted. The min. value is 1.0. If the concrete struts do not satisfy with cot theta = 1.0, the section is insufficient.

Shear + torsion:
The app calculates the required longitudinal and shear reinforcement.
Width, effective height, shear force, torsion moment ann angle theta can be entered. If the concrete struts do not satisfy with the entered angle, the app will adapt the angle. The max. value is 45°. If the concrete struts do not satisfy with theta = 45°, the section is insufficient. A value of 50 mm is taken in account as height minus effective height.
